An Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (T.A.) marching snare drum shell; the painted brass shell depicting the white bugle horn of the regiment known as the "Ox and Bucks", adorned with extensive battle/campaign honours including for Quebec (1759), Peninsula, Nivelle, Vittoria, Waterloo, Ypres (1914, 17), Mons, Cambrai (1917-18), The Somme (1916-18), Cassel (1940), Salerno, Normandy Landing and Pegasus Bridge (1944), totalling 47 honours, makers mark for A.F. Matthews, London, stamped no. 1492 and dated 1965, 35cm diameter 13cm tall; offered together with two marching snare drums, brass shells, one painted, calfskin drumheads with metal lugs, gut snares, one with makers mark for Henry Potter & Co., London.
