A 48th Highlanders of Canada marching snare drum; the painted brass shell depicting a falcon's head and bearing the Gaelic regimental motto "Dileas Gu Brath", adorned with battle/campaign honours for Ypres (1915, 17), Festubert (1915), Mont Sorrel, The Somme (1916), Vimy (1917), Hill 70, Passchendale, Amiens, Procourt-Queant and Canal Du Nord, calfskin drumhead with rope tension system, gut snares, paintwork signed K. Nicholls, makers mark for Henry Potter & Co., London, 38cm diameter, 39cm tall.
