Two Military marching bass drum; one for The Royal Navy Volunteer Reserce Tyne Division, and another for the 49th London Company Girls' Life Brigade, painted mahogany shells, the former depicting a crown and anchor, the latter bearing the motto "to save life", calfskin drumheads with rope tension system, the former with makers mark for Besson & Co., London, 75cm diameter, 40cm tall, the second with makers mark for Henry Potter & Co., London, 72cm diameter, 38cm tall.
