A 4th (Royal Irish) Dragoon Guards marching tenor drum; the painted mahogany shell depicting the regimental badge with the triple-crowned shamrock in an eight-pointed star, with the motto "Quis Separabit" and the numerals MDCCLXXXIII, in reference to the Most Illustrious Order of St. Patrick in 1783, also bearing a royal coat of arms with the royal motto "Dieu et mon droit" and the military motto "Honi soit qui mal y pense", adorned with battle/campaign honours for Balaklava, Egypt (1882), Sevastopol, Peninsula and Tel-el-Kebir, calfskin drumheads and rope tension system, paintwork signed K. Nicholls, 48cm diameter 41cm tall, together with a strap and drum stick set.
