A 5th Battalion The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry marching tenor drum; the painted wood shell depicting the regimental badge of a Yorkshire Rose at the centre of twisted hunting bugle, also bearing the regimental motto "Cede Nullis", adorned with extensive battle/campaign honours including for Minden, Corunna, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Peninsula, Waterloo, Afghanistan (1878-80), Burma (1885-87), Messines (1914, 17, 18), Marne (1914, 18), The Somme (1916, 18), Ypres (1914, 15, 17), Havrincourt and Italy (1917-18), calfskin drumheads with rope tension system, paintwork signed K. Nicholls, 48cm diameter 41cm tall, offered together with a pair of Potter Aldershot drum sticks.
