A Gold Coast Territorial Force marching snare drum; the painted brass shell depicting a white elephant under a palm tree, calfskin drumhead with rope tension system, gut snares, makers mark for J.B. Mayer & Sons, Manchester, stamped no. 24090, 38cm diameter 39cm tall, offered together with a further brass shelled snare drum, stamped for John Grey & Sons, London, and two miniture snare drums.
