Andrew Swain MA MRICS, Director

Andrew has been an auctioneer and valuer at salerooms in Surrey, East Sussex and Hampshire before joining Henry Adams at his home city of Chichester in 2014. Andrew has a degree in Fine Art and for his Masters dissertation he studied the work of the modernist architect and designer, Wells Coates.

As a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a RICS registered Art and Antiques valuer with over 20 years’ experience in the auction world, he is well qualified to assist you with valuations for Sale, Insurance or Probate. As Andrew states "it's a fascinating business to be in and every auction always brings a new discovery".

During his time at Chichester, Andrew has overseen the selling of the complete contents of Norris Castle on the Isle of Wight, the contents of ‘Farthings,’ Sir Patrick Moore’s house in Selsey as well as breaking auction price records on three separate occasions for the work of the painter, Sir Cedric Morris.

Andrew is happy to give advice over the phone, in person or by email regarding any valuation enquiries. Valuation appointments for Sale, Insurance or Probate can be either in your home or at our Baffins Hall saleroom in the centre of Chichester.
