A large Chinese blue and white porcelain fishbowl planter / jardiniere, with hand painted decortation of a continual scene of figues within a landscape, between four relief moulded mask handles, 52cm wide by 40cm high.

These were traditionally used for keeping fish, such as koi carp, but were also used for large plants and waterlilies.
