Car mascot / hood ornament: 'Lucifer Golfing Society', by James Dixon & Sons, silver plated, inscibed to base and impresssed marks to underside, 11cm high.

In 1921 Sir Hedley le Bas and friends founded the society, an exclusive private gentlemans club inn London, limited to only 60 members rising to 100 members in 1925. Members included Charles Sykes (who became Captain in 1936), Edward VII, George V, Edward VIII, and the Duke of Edinburgh.
