Provenance: Colonel Henry Browse Scaife served in the defence of Alexandria, 1882 and was awarded the Bronze Star. He additionally served in the Sudan Expedition in 1884, being awarded the Nile Clasp and in the South African War 1900 - 1 and was awarded the Queen Victoria Medal and four clasps.
