This version by Paillet is thought to be the one selected by Alexandre Millerand, President of France from 1920 to 1924, to be adapted as a radiator mascot for his Presidential Voisin cars and limousines, the mascot known as Coq Gaulois, was later commercialised by the automobile accessories firm Mestre & Blatge. This example shows the famous patriotic French rooster standing upon the headpiece from a staff of a Prussian regiment, a symbol of the Franco-Prussian War, Alexandre Millerand had acted as Minister of War (1912 - 1914/15).

Old Bill is a fictional character created in 1914–15 by cartoonist Bruce Bairnsfather. Old Bill was depicted as an elderly, pipe-smoking British "tommy" with a walrus moustache. The character achieved a great deal of popularity during World War I where it was considered a major morale booster for the British troops.

A Balkan mountain child and a young arts protege who grew up to become a world renown contemporary artist with a PhD in art history. Iva Troj grew up in the outskirts of Bulgaria’s Romani slums, a Gerety Award winner and 3 times Cannes Lions nominee for her Halo Masterpiece. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally and her work is in collections in the UK, France, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, China, United States and Japan. In 2021, her epic painting Halo Infinite Masterpiece was exhibited at Saatchi Gallery and The Louvre.

William Henry Blackburn was an award winning art director, painter, and photographer in both England and India throughout the 1940's to the 1980's, and working for Saatchi and Saatchi up until his death in 1995. His works have largely remained out of the public eye at his sons home since then, with just a few of his paintings in the hands of close family and friends or in a range of Museums across Great Britain and India.
