An antique Arakan Burmese bronze Clinthe Guardian Temple Lion, probably 18th century or earlier, made in detachable sections with a seated buddhistic figure on a platform which slots on to the back of the creature, there are two vacant brackets behind the seated figure that likely originally housed two monks, the head of the creature swivels and may have originally been intended to lift off, being of well cast and heavy construction and with decorative detailing throughout, 51cm high by 38cm long, (af).
