A Naval Officers Dress Sword, previously belonging to Sub Lieutenant (Sub Lt.) David H Bourn RN, he was serving on board HMS Bulwark, and was a pilot on 895 Squadron flying the Hawker Sea Hawk FB.3, and was in action in Suez during November ‘56, we are informed by the family that this sword was on board with Sub Lt Bourn during the Suez crisis, thence by descent. Having a 31 inch Elizabeth II Gieves blade with engraved decoration, lion head pommel, crown and anchor plaque, shagreen grip with wire binding, dress knot, gilt-metal mounted scabbard, belt, and outer protective soft case. Together with a box of assorted badges, buttons, etc.
