Attributed to James Scouler (c 1740-1812), portrait miniature of a child dressed in white, bearing faint signature, oval, 3.8cm by 3.2cm, in pearl mounted unmarked gold coloured frame, verso inscribed 'Samuel Cautherley Esq died 15 Nov 1805 Aged 57', with glazed panel containing lock of hair (a/f - crack) By family repute believed to be the illegitimate son of David Garrick
