Signatures and letters of support from George Bernard Shaw, dated 1940, embassy and diplomatic staff, European royalty including Victoria Eugenie, Peter II, King of Yugoslavia 1944, writers, Somerset Maugham, HG Wells, musicians, Noel Coward, Ravel, and many others including Alexander Fleming, Josephine Baker and Clementine Churchill.
