A fine quality George III striking eight day longcase clock by Thomas Mudge of London, the 13 inch arched brass dial with rotating moonphase feature, silvered chapter ring, twin winding holes, date aperture, engraved sunsidiary seconds dial, and ornate spandrels, the handsome inlaid and cross-banded figured mahogany case featuring gilt-brass mounts and an unusual stepped trunk door, raised on bracket feet, complete withy pendulum, twin weights, and winding key, 230cm (7' 6") high.
