A Georgian style mahogany silver table, 20th century, the raised shaped gallery incorporating four carrying handles, above two pull-out sllides, raised on square supports with pierced brackets, 66cm wide by 50cm deep by 55cm high, (af).

The term "Silver Table" is taken from the fact that this form, or design, of central standing table in the early 18th century and beyond were normally used in the dining room, or sometimes the drawing room, to hold the silver ware and cutlery ready for use in dining and tea services.
