An early 20th century 1846 pattern Royal Navy Officer's dress sword made by Gieve, Mathews, Seagrove Ltd, with 29 inch etched steel blade, with wire-bound fish skin grip and lion's head pommel with sword knot, regulation brass hilt engraved with owner's name 'C A BOWEN R N', contained in leather and brass scabbard with two suspension rings, 88.5cm (34 3/4 inches overall)
