Attributed to Edward Smith (British, 1820 - 1893), 'Over Lock on the Hereford and Gloucester Canal' (shortly before it was dismantled in 1882, looking towards Gloucester), oil on panel, 13.5cm by 22.5cm, framed, together with 'Robinswood Resevoirs overlooking Gloucester and towards the Malverns', watercoour, 14cm by 30cm, framed, (2).

Provenance: gifted to vendors grandmother (Alice Timbrell) by a cousin (Valda Smith) who was related by marriage to Edward Smith, thence by descent. Exhibited in the 1980's 'Canals and River Trust', Gloucester Museum, comes with further research by the vendor.
