An antique Chinese blue and white porcelain covered jar, probably Transitional period c.1640, old handwritten label underside inscribed "Lot 745 Christies 1984", 21cm high.

Provenance: Private collection, purchased from Mr G Dupernex (a specialist Chinese ceramics dealer) 17th October 1986, with receipt, described as "ex Hatcher shipwreck".
