An English silver plated ham bone holder or 'Manche a Gigot', 19th century, of plain design with shaped handle, presentation engraved to 'Major L. J. Slater, 82nd Regt.', length 14.5cm

Provenance: According to information provided by the vendor this piece was formerly in the possession of Major L.J. Slater of the 82nd Regiment of the Foot (Prince of Wales's Volunteers) retiring as a Colonel in 1848.
