A Chinese pottery ding (a cauldron shaped vessel on tripod supports used for ritual offerings to the gods or ancestors), believed to be Neolithic Dawenkou Culture, c.4000BC - 3000BC, presents with signs of antiquity ageing and patination, 14cm high by 10.5cm diameter.
Provenance: Private collection, the vendor advises that this vessel previously came from the private collection of a Mr Tan, a collector of asian antiquities living in Singapore.
